Sound of thunder

After I wrote the article on the Butterfly Effect, I picked up this book, The Golden Apple of the Sun. This is a collection of science fiction short stories written by Ray Bradbury, and I had read "The Sound of Thunder" included in this collection when I was a child, so I decided to read the original story again.

I read "The Sound of Thunder" when I was a child, probably in elementary school, and of course it was a children's book, but the ending was so horrible that it left an impression on me. I think the title was "The Sound of a Hammer". I think the title was "The Sound of a Hammer," and the unfamiliar word "hammer" gave me an eerie feeling.

I won't go into details because it would be a spoiler, but it's a science fiction short story based on the so-called "butterfly effect," and the ending made me think "Oh..." even as a child. Oh..." even as a child. I always thought that the "butterfly effect" came from the story of the novel "Sound of Thunder". But in fact, it was the other way around, and the "Sound of Thunder" was derived from the "Butterfly Effect. The Butterfly Effect itself was proposed by some meteorologist, and it would have been romantic if it was a scientific concept that started from a science fiction novel.

Incidentally, there is a movie called "The Sound of Thunder". However, when I saw the synopsis of the movie, it seems that the original story has been heaped up, and it seems that they are not similar. I think this story is better written as a short story with a sharp edge.
