Appalachian Mountains

When I say banjo, I mean "Mexico!" for now. I thought. But after I wrote yesterday's article, I found out that the origin of the banjo was in America.

It seems to have originated in the southern part of the United States and Appalachia, where Africans who were forced to become slaves made the first banjos after the instruments they were familiar with in Africa (from Wikipedia, of course).

Appalachia...I heard "Appalachian Mountains!" in my ear a long time ago. Appalachians! When I looked it up, I found out that it's "a hill or mountain range located in Canada and the northeastern part of the United States, extending from northeast to southwest for about 2,600 km". I remember when I was in elementary school (or was it?) I feel like that part of the map has been painted over. The Appalachian Mountains" is a perfect word for it, isn't it?

Anyway, I heard that the origin of the banjo is the United States. Banjo music is mainly associated with "country" and "bluegrass". To be honest, I don't really listen to either of them. But the banjo is a major instrument in both rock and pop music, isn't it? I can't think of any songs with a banjo in them other than "Silver Missiles And Nightingales," which I wrote about yesterday. No, no, no, I'm sure there are quite a few. I don't like banjos that sound light, I like the ones that sound a little melancholy and dead. Seriously, I can't remember a single song. Hmmm... I don't know how to look up that kind of music.

Also, I heard that banjo is written "班卓琴" or "班祖琴" in Chinese characters.

Banjo

I was just unexpectedly reminded of HANOI ROCKS and Andy McCoy yesterday from a Yahoo News article by Prince Axel, and I hadn't pulled this stuff out and listened to it in a while.

This is "Silver Missiles And Nightingales" by The Suicide Twins, an acoustic unit made up of two HANOI ROCKS guitarists, Andy McCoy and Nasty Suicide! You'll love it, won't you? I'm sure you'll love it too. By the way, in the credits of this album, Nasty is "Nasty Supersar", not "Nasty Sucide". Nasty Supersar. Nasty Sucide is a big deal, though. Who the hell are you, Nasty.

And the sixth track on this album, "Silver Missiles And Nightingales," which is also the title of the album, is a fucking favorite of mine. Of course you love it, right?

By the way, it's just a banjo that comes out in the middle of this (starting at about 1:41), right? I always thought it was a banjo, but I've never heard or played a banjo in person, so I'm not sure if it's a banjo. The sustain seems to be very short for a banjo, but I'm not so sure.

By the way, speaking of banjo, there was this one.

This is a banjo cover of Slipknot's "Psychosocial". When you listen to this, the sound that comes out at about 1:41 of "Silver Missiles And Nightingales" sounds like a banjo.

Malibu Beach Nightmare

I was looking at Yahoo News and saw that "Axl Rose of Guns N' Roses once buzzed off a gun and got rid of a bug! The news was published.

The title of the article was "Things have happened! As it says, "In 1993, Axel, returning home between tours, fired his rifle at a moth in his room, and although he was able to kill the moth, it left a large hole in the ceiling..." and that's what happened when Prince Axel's actions in 1993 were still in 2020. The fact that it has news value is amazing. That's Prince.

By the way, I heard that Axel's home at that time was in Malibu, but this is what Malibu is all about, isn't it?

This is "Malibu Beach Nightmare" by HANOI ROCKS. This video is from HANOI ROCKS' legendary live video "All Those Wasted Years: Live At The Marquee". By the way, the Japanese title of "All Those Wasted Years: Live At The Marquee" is "Burning London Night". It should be established as part of Japanese culture to give Japanese titles to foreign music and movies.

This live video is of course really cool, but the first time I saw it, I sat back and watched Andy McCoy (the guy on the right side playing guitar) dutifully put the chin strap of his hat on his chin. As expected of Andy, there's always room for error.

And speaking of Andy McCoy, he released a new song a little while ago, didn't he?

I don't think there's anyone better than him when it comes to songs like this. By the way, I didn't realize there are only 1,040 subscribers to the "Andy McCoy Band Official Channel" on YouTube...

Drowsiness

I wonder how many people say that listening to loud music makes them sleepy. A live music club is the perfect place to listen to loud music, and it can make me extremely sleepy.

But that doesn't mean that I'm always sleepy at live music venues. As I recall, one of the characteristics of the music is that it's very loud for a live music venue, and the volume is constant. With music that has a high or low volume, it doesn't matter how loud it is, it doesn't matter how loud it is, it won't make you sleepy. That's why the performers and the live music club (PA) are always thinking "I'm going to do my best to make it loud! I'm pretty sure I get sleepy when I keep making loud noises like "I'm a musician".

When I tell this to people in the music business or to my clients, they say that I have this problem, but I did a quick google search and found no information that I could find. I thought it was a common thing in the world, but is that not true?

I've been using headphones to check out Moro Moro for a long time now, and I've been feeling fiercely sleepy. Of course, it's not loud because I'm checking. I'm not "sleepy", I'm just at the point where I suddenly fall asleep. I hadn't been to a live music club recently, so I forgot about it, but I wondered if it was the same as that phenomenon.

Delay

The word "delay" has a somewhat negative vibe to it, doesn't it? Saying "late" doesn't sound very good either. If you say "late" it's already hopeless.

But there are times when the word "late" can work in a positive way.

Delay.

It's just an English word for "late," but it's a pretty big deal in the effects world (though not a person).

A "delay" in the effects world is a magical little box that repeats the same note by delaying the timing of the original note. Just by passing through the box, you can get the so-called "hillbilly effect".

There are analog and digital delays, but the basic function is the same.

SICK IN RECORDS is now in stock with a magical little box that transforms a negative delay into a positive one!

Well, that's it. It's only a delay, and it's a delayed exhibit (yum!) I think it will be exhibited soon.

SICK IN RECORDS powered by BASE
The net shop of used music equipment such as effectors and so on.

Delays are my favorite effect pedals, but I find them difficult to use at gigs because I want to change the way I play them depending on the song. It's also annoying to have to keep fiddling with the knobs on the effect pedals while playing a gig. Do you guys who use delays use the same settings throughout a gig? It depends on the song I want to play.

A New Departure

I have a guitar and bass on either side of the desk where Ore-sama always sits at home. The guitar is a black Greco Flying V that I'm familiar with from gigs, and the bass is a Squire Jazzbe model that I bought the other day. Oh, the Greco's are also a Flying V "model". It's not the original.

The guitar is on the right and the bass is on the left when I'm sitting down. They're both about the same distance apart, the bass guitar is a little farther away, but in any case, they're both within easy reach if you reach for them. But somehow the bass guitar is by far the one I reach for the most, but I don't know what it is. Subconsciously, I prefer the bass guitar to the guitar, but I don't know why.

The strings of my bass guitar are completely dead because I play it every day. I changed the strings of my bass once to thick ones for drop C tuning, but I got tired of drop C tuning, so I changed the strings to drop D for both the guitar and the bass, or rather, I changed the strings of the bass to a pure D. It's hard to play the bass with the drop tuning, so I changed it down one note. And I played for a while with the thick strings I bought the other day, but they are so thick that it's hard to play with them down one note, so I've changed back to the thin strings that came with the guitar when I bought it (yes, I kept them for a while to see if that would happen).

Now, the strings are probably for regular tuning, and they are a bit thin for one note down. The search for a string that is just right for one note down is about to begin.

As long as they don't find out

I hope they don't find out.

I'm sure you've thought about this at one time or another.

-I don't have to return this soy sauce I borrowed from my neighbor because he won't know about it anyway (40s, housewife).

-I hope they don't find out about the material I'm using for today's meeting, which when read vertically is a bad word for the department head (30-something, office worker).

-I replaced all of my teacher's cigarettes with firecrackers, but I hope they don't find out.

It's probably something like this. I know exactly what you're thinking.

"So long as they don't find out.

It's no good. Even if you don't get caught, you can't do anything wrong. As it is often said, "The sun is watching you!" Even if you don't think anyone knows, the sun is watching you, and there is even a person who is more frightening than the sun, such as a "person carrying a snowflake on his back (a magistrate in his 50s) who will never forgive you even if the sun allows it. (laughs)

That's right. There's no way they wouldn't know about it.

When you listen to it, it's such a weird sound, but when you mix it into the whole thing, it sounds strangely cool. Well, it's a really weird sound that makes me laugh.

Increase your happiness

A little while ago (I just checked and it was Aug. 4), I wrote a post titled "Celebrating the 4th anniversary of note! I have received a badge from NOTE that says, "The

4th anniversary?

Are you saying that Ore-sama started (or rather, signed up for) NOTE on August 4, 2016?

That long ago?

I didn't use it, but was it that long ago that I registered it and didn't use it? No, I'm so surprised I don't know what's going on.

That long ago?

By the way, I checked what you were doing in 2016 and it was the year you released three six-song EPs in one year.

I see. I vaguely remember that year. I feel like I've been writing and recording songs and doing other moronic work for a long time. Why I decided to release three albums in one year is a complete mystery now, but it was the year I spent all my time recording.

Of course, the 3 CDs I made that year are still available on Amazon and other sites, and the songs are also available on various distribution sites. It is a statistic that your happiness level increases by 73% if you continue to take the music of Canasibari, and we strongly recommend you to keep taking the music of Canasibari in all forms (the efficacy varies from person to person).

By the way, here are the three EPs we released that year.

"Underworld" KANASHIBARI
"Devil Studs" KANASHIBARI
"Bacteria" KANASHIBARI

Yes, these three EPs were released the year Ore-sama signed up for NOTE, and it's rumored that if you continue to buy the CDs, your happiness will increase by an additional 20%! (Effects and efficacy may vary from person to person)

METALLICA LOGO GENERATOR

He has done everything ahead of others, and has earned the respect and envy of the world by being a pioneer.

Apparently, she's done it again!

The second version of the METALLICA LOGO GENERATOR has been released. Speaking of "Metallica Logo Maker", it's the one thing that's really got people all over the world riveted, as it turns every word (in English) into a Metallica logo. As this was the second version of the logo maker, my expectations were high, my nostrils were swollen, and of course I tried it.

Oh my! Kanashibari (KANASHIBARI) looks like a senior Metallica! People look like trash! (Musca)

Well, following the first installment, the second installment is no longer impressive and is on the verge of reaching emptiness.

Come to think of it, what was the first one like? Thinking that "it must have been a bit cheaper than the first one," I tried out "METALLICA LOGO GENERATOR" again, which I've done before.

Hmm?

The part of the text matches perfectly, though.

The only difference is the background.

The important part is not changed at all, only the background is changed, and it's the second bullet.

I'm proud of you, Metallica.

Triple stack

Stack amps.

You've already created a "cool" look with just words. I think this kind of thing is important. I don't know what it is, but I think it's cool! That's what I mean. That's what decides the game. It doesn't matter how good you are or what you're really good at, it's just a matter of saying, "This is amazing...I can feel it! The guy who says, "You know what?" wins, yeah.

After all, the counterpart to "stack amps" is "combo amps". A combo. Pfft. It's a game. It's a pimping game.

A stacked amp is an amp where the amp (head) and the speaker (cabinet) are separate (mainly for guitar). Especially in the hard rock and heavy metal world, there are a lot of guitarists who use Marshall guitar amps stacked three high, but those are two cabinets connected to one head. They usually have two cabinets with one head connected to two cabinets, and most of them are lined up next to each other to create a "Marshall wall".

Marshall Wall

It's because of the "stacked amp" that you can do this.

Well, even a combo amp can be stacked as many times as you want.

Brian May of Queen had a wall of VOX combo amps stacked on top of each other, and he made a "VOX wall".

This is just a little magic box that reproduces the sound of a stacked amp, which I think is really cool.

BOSS ST-2

Well, I'm sure it will be on display soon.

By the way, the word "combo" originally stood for "combination," and was used for small jazz orchestras, so it's not really a bad word at all!

Tear it up

Earlier today, I received the same statement from Spotify again. This time it's the Japanese version of the podcast "Kanashibari Radio". It has been removed and you can't listen to that podcast on Spotify at the moment (you can still listen to the regular Spotify music stream).

That said, this is something we already expected when we learned why the English-language version of the KanashiBari Radio podcast was removed. The reason why "KANASHIBARI Radio" was removed was because "Distribution of songs on Spotify podcast is not allowed, and if you want to distribute songs, you should use Spotify's music distribution service. It's no longer inevitable. It's as inevitable as Kenshiro's clothes in Fist of the North Star tearing off every time he fights, and being regenerated back to normal after every fight.

So I just did a search for "Kenshiro's clothes torn" and found a startling revelation.

It seems that Kenshiro's torn clothes weren't regenerated.

He's wearing the clothes he killed after ripping them off.

Seriously.... with the Hyahar thing, and the clothes regeneration (but not), Fist of the North Star is so deep...

When I woke up, I was cured

Some of you may have read yesterday's article and couldn't sleep last night because you were too worried about the ring finger on Ore's right hand. Some of you still can't dry your pillows from the tears that flowed down your face. Some of you may be so emaciated that you can't get any food down your throats. I think I've heard rumors that some people have torn off their hair and buttons, not to mention their wisps, in an effort to make their pain go away.

But don't worry. Last night, I went to sleep for about 8 hours, thinking that if I woke up and found that I was getting worse, I would go to the hospital immediately and settle the score with the nurse who said "I'm running out of anesthesia right now," but the pain had gone down when I woke up! Wow, the ring finger of my right hand is so light! Woo hoo!

Now I think I can hit the keys of a piano as fast as the world's fastest pianist (though I can't play the piano). I also think I can throw a breaking ball with more sharpness than any other pitcher on the planet (though I'll have to learn how to grip it first).

It's still a little swollen and a little sore, but I'm a gentleman among gentlemen with good manners, so it's no big deal to put up with that much. But when I hit it by mistake last night, I screamed like an animal screaming at the end of an animal's life and thrashed about.

Oh, thank God. It was really good. I feel like eating potato chips.

Hangnail

This past Sunday or Monday, when I was stationed at Kanashibari Air Base, I was really worried about the bruise on my right ring finger, but unfortunately, there were no nail clippers at Kanashibari Air Base, so I had no choice but to tear it off.

As I expected, it became a deep wound, but it felt like "it hurts a bit", but it started throbbing last night and today it's finally swollen up. But it started throbbing last night and today it's finally swelling up.

Actually, it happened a long time ago when I was still just a child prodigy living at my parents' house. The little finger of my right hand was bitten by my parents' dog, and it got infected and swollen up, so I went to the hospital, and the doctor said "Let's cut it open". Moreover, he said, "We're going to make a hole in your nail and let the pus out of it.

When I was thinking like a sandwich man, "I don't understand what you are saying," Sensei said to the nurse, "Bring me anesthesia. Then the nurse replied astonishingly, "We're running out of anesthesia. As I was thinking like a sandwich man again, the doctor heard that and said "Oh, yeah, hold it then", and as soon as he heard that, two or three nurses who were wandering around there held me down so much that I couldn't move, and then they put a scalpel in the nail of my little finger on my right hand. They drilled a diamond-shaped hole in me with a diamond-shaped hole and squeezed pus, or pus, out of it.

It is a trauma, if I say so.

Well, will it continue to swell up like this? But I hate it if I go to the hospital and they say "We're running out of anesthesia" again.

Chorus

When you think of a chorus, you probably think of a chorus.

Strictly speaking, "chorus" is a thing, but to put it bluntly, it's "many people singing in unison".

There are two types of "many people singing together": one in which each person is responsible for a different melody, and another in which everyone is responsible for the same melody. When all the members sing the same melody" is called "chanting", and when it is done with a musical instrument, it is called "chanting".

This "simultaneous chorus" is interesting. Even though everyone is singing and playing the exact same melody, the sound has more depth and breadth than if they were singing or playing the melody alone. It's quite strange, isn't it? Even though we are singing (or playing) the same thing.

A chorus effector is a magical little box that creates such a mysterious phenomenon artificially. Moreover, unlike human beings, the knobs allow you to fine-tune the sound, so it's no exaggeration to say that the uses and effects of the chorus effect pedals are infinite. Use it to create a clean tone for a refreshing, handsome look, use it to create a distortion guitar for a thicker chest plate like a burly macho man's chest plate, or shake the sound as hard as you can to create a perverted look like an alien using a drunken fist.

This is why SICK IN RECORDS has just released a chorus that allows you to create all sorts of magical effects. It's truly transformative!

Lower back

The word "low-flying" is used in both a positive and negative sense. Well, it's better than high-handedness, but too much is also a thing. Maybe it's better to be in moderation depending on the time and circumstances.

The word "heavy-handed" means, well, you could say it's swinging to the negative side. There are people around you who just can't seem to take the first step, right? That's the thing.

When you look at the words "your back will break apart", it sounds horrible, but it doesn't mean that your back will actually break apart. Simply put, it's when your back relaxes for some reason or another. It's also used to describe a situation where you fall behind in the middle of something you're continuing to do.

To "sit back" means to "approach things calmly. It may often be an important attitude to have as a way of approaching things.

You may be familiar with the use of "Koshi wo Fumi" as "to break the back of the conversation". It means to interrupt someone in the middle of a conversation and is basically a bad idea, but there are some people who dare to do it strategically or not.

I didn't know the term "splitting the waist" until today. I heard that it refers to the familiar sumo stance of spreading the legs apart and bending the knees with the hips low. I'm not sure if that's called "hip-cracking".

The word "koshii" means that the noodles are firm to the touch. By the way, it's important to note that "koshi" refers to "elasticity" and not "hardness".

Let's see, my back is hurting like crazy today.

813

By the way, the other day was August 13th. I didn't remember that day, but I just remembered that there is a song called "813" in Kanashibari. But "813" in Kanashibari doesn't mean August 13.

When I say "The Mystery of 813," you know it's true. It's part of the "Arsene Lupin" series of books by Maurice LeBlanc. I had "The Complete Works of Lupin the Phantom Thief" when I was a kid, and I loved it immensely, but "The Mystery of 813" was my favorite among them.

The impression of "scary but thrilling and thrilling" is etched in my memory, but I don't remember the content at all. But I can't remember the content of the book at all. I'm still in love with Ore-sama's specifics that I can't remember any of the content, even though I've probably read the book quite a few times.

The cover of this series is just great. The first thing this cover does is give you an idea of what it's all about. When I was a kid, the image of this book was even more frightening than the content of the book.

By the way, I took the "813" in Kanashibari from "The Mystery of 813", but it has nothing to do with the lyrics (and I don't remember the contents of the book at all). When I was writing the lyrics, I was thinking "I'd like to have a title that's meaningful and symbolic", and I remembered "The Mystery of 813", and that's how I came up with it.

Eisbrecher

Today I'm going to introduce you to a German band called Eisbrecher. I actually like this band a lot, don't you?

But to be exact, I don't know this band as well as I do "I love the band so much". I have very little information in Japanese, and the only thing I know is that they are a German band, and that they are a two-piece with vocals, guitar and programming, with the rest of the band being support.

I found them on YouTube about 5 years ago, and I loved the band or the music, or at any rate the music video.

Oh no, it's good. I can't get enough of the slippery slope between "serious" and "comical". But the vocalist's look and voice and the music brings it back to the "serious" side. It's a perfect song.

I don't pay much attention to the lyrics of songs, especially Western music, but now that I'm shown this music video, I'm curious about the lyrics. I'd like to know the meaning of the lyrics, including the minor nuances.

I looked up the CD on Amazon, but it's only available as an import. And there's no record of the songs on the CD, so I have no idea what they are.

A long time ago, I would have been happy to go to a disc union or something to buy a used CD if I found one, but now I'm tired of hearing people say things like, "I don't even know what it is on Amazon, it's too obscure. Well, now that we have online distribution (well, outside of Japan, online distribution is the main source of information), it's like, "I'm going to sell my CDs in many countries! I guess that's not the case.

As they say, "Life is full of peaks and valleys, ears on the wall and Mary on the shoji.

The other day, the English podcast KANASHIBARI Radio, which overcame many hardships to become available on Spotify, has been removed from the site.

Spotify contacted us via email, and the email read: "Read the terms and conditions, you fucking pig! (It was actually a polite sentence. I found a link to the terms and conditions, so I quickly checked it out and found the following in a very long sentence.

I've been using Spotify for a long time now. So I thought we could make it a "talk + song" style, which is different from the normal song distribution.

So the Japanese version of "Kanashibari Radio", which is just a song distribution service, is not even a story at all, and I'm like, "I got a zero rating, you fucking pig! So that's it. I'm sure I'll be getting the same communication soon and it will be removed.

But Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts seem to be OK for now, I wonder. Are they OK with the music in them, or have they just not been found yet? So I checked the terms and conditions on Apple's end, but I couldn't find any mention of it.

I wonder what kind of pain I'll get next!

Japanese version of Kanashibari Radio

The English version of the podcast has been quietly continuing, and we've actually started distributing the Japanese version as well.

We've been trying to get the Japanese version of the podcast to automatically read aloud in Japanese with one trick or another, but it's been a setback for now.

Because if you ask the reader to read the article below, it reads "Ji-no-ta-tsu-no-wa..." and "Ji-no-na-ga-re-wa..." from the beginning.

If you don't have bread, you can have cake

As expected, I want you to read "Time passes" and "Flow of time" as "Toki", don't you? You know, "Ji". It sounds like "Ji", right? Of course, I could just change them into hiragana and have them read it, but that would be a bit of a hassle.

However, I think it's good to have as many ways as possible to send out messages to the world, so we've started the program itself.

Apple podcast

The content is just one song a day by Kanashibari. There's nothing talkative about it. But it's not cool to play all the songs of Kanashibari and listen to the entire archive as much as you want, so after 6 songs are released, I'll delete the oldest release and only 6 songs will remain in the archive. If you want to listen to more songs, you can listen to them on Apple music, Spotify, etc., or on CDs.

By the way, most of the Kanashibari releases have 6 songs on the EP, so I just made this album to match with that. There's no deep meaning to it.

Well, I hope I'll be able to play something interesting soon (someone else's business).

Drinking

I'm sure there are many people reading this who love to drink, don't love to drink, or hate it.

By the way, I don't make up my mind that I should drink every day, or that I should limit my drinking to a certain amount, or that I should take a day off from drinking, or that I should never drink. I just live my life according to my desires.

So if you're asking me if I'm drifting breathlessly through the rough waters of drinking every day, I'm not. I like to drink, but I may go a month without drinking at all because I don't particularly want to, or conversely, I may drink every day for a month, or I may drink every other day, or I may drink for three days and then not drink for three days.

I don't like the idea of drinking as much as I like, and I don't want to have to decide if I'm going to drink this much or not here. As for being consumed by alcohol, well, that's just the way it is, but "Drink! And deciding "I don't drink! I don't like the fact that I feel like I'm letting alcohol determine my behavior. I don't like the fact that I feel like I'm letting "booze" dictate my behavior.

But... there's one thing I've been having trouble with when I don't feel like drinking for a long time.

That's a stiff shoulder.

When I don't drink, my shoulders get stiff. And it's pretty severe. Especially my right shoulder. I wonder what it is? When you don't drink alcohol, does your right shoulder get all the strength it needs? It is said that the quality of sleep gets worse when you drink, and I think your shoulders might be more stiff when you are drinking every day. I wonder if it's like a relaxing effect of drinking.

I've been drinking every day for a while now, so my shoulder isn't bothering me at all. But if I don't drink for a long period of time, I'll get attacked by a stiff shoulder again.

Sequel to "Kanji"

Yesterday, as I was writing the article and thinking about love and courage and the secondary uses of this note, I came across the keyword "Kanji". If you haven't read yesterday's article, watch all the Kanashibari videos on YouTube and then read yesterday's article.

Kanji

What I've come up with is, to put it bluntly, "Maybe I'll give each post a kanji title or something like that. In other words, yesterday's article (10 August) was titled "Kanji no Kanashibari", so it's "Kanji", and the article on 9 August was titled "Kanashibari Eve on Mountain Day", so it's "Mountain", and so on.

Here are the titles of the articles of the last week and the kanji that I've added to them.

Aug. 10 "Kanji no Kanashibari" => "Kanji
Aug. 9 "Kanashivari Eve on 'Mountain Day'" => "Mountain
Aug. 8 "Revolutionary Canasibari" => "Revolution
Aug. 7 "Canashibari who swam through the ocean" => "The Great Sea
Aug. 6 "DEAD BOYS' Kanashibari Pitch" => "Dead Boy
Aug. 5 "KANASHIBARI Radio" => "Stream" on Spotify Podcast
Aug. 4 "Canasibari, a particularly squeaky-clean collection of canasibari" => "good

And I looked for some calligraphy-related apps, but there are quite a few of them.

Well, so far so good, but what to do with the kanji that we've added to each article? I've heard that there are a lot of people overseas who find the kanji themselves fascinating, so it might be a good idea to put them on the Kanashibari Blog in some form or another. There are a lot of Japanese people who find kanji appealing, so it might be a good idea to appeal to them. Also, it might be a good idea to put videos of yourself actually writing on your Instagram stories, for example. But it's a bit difficult to actually write something like that if you think about it every day.

What should I do? I've just started an English blog and an English podcast. Kanashibari" is a katakana word (meaning "not English"), and the song title doesn't use English either, so it works well with kanji.

Kanji

By the way, I've been working on a project called "Thoroughly use this notebook for secondary and tertiary use, and suck it all to the bone", but I've been working on "Creating an English translation blog" and "Podcasting the translated text out loud".

Oh, by the way, the "case where the podcast wasn't distributed despite a notice from Google Podcasts that it was available" has been resolved before we knew it.

KANASHIBARI Radio:Google podcasts

That's why I've completed the "Japanese -> English" and "Text -> Voice" sections, but isn't there anything else?

I think the elements of expression are "text, sound, color (still image), and motion (video)", and this "text" is the note, isn't it? And "translating" means converting sentences into English, and "reading out loud" means converting sentences into sounds. These can be applied to other applications, such as "French translation" and "reading out loud".

And other than that, it would be nice to be able to convert "text to color (still image)" or "text to motion (video)".

So I tried to look for something that uses AI to automatically generate images and videos from text, but I couldn't find anything convenient like that.

Then I remembered a news story I saw the other day about Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe getting a tattoo of the Chinese character for "truth" on his face.

Motley Crue's Tommy Lee gets 'truth' tattooed on his face

Come to think of it, kanji itself is an art form, isn't it? It's exactly like calligraphy.

So that means...

'Oh! I think I've found the opportunity for another flaw in my life..." So, I'll be back tomorrow to tell you the rest of the story (as promised).

"Mountain Day" Eve

Just the other day I was asked, "Well, do you have more holidays these days? I've just written what I just wrote, but to my surprise, we're still in the middle of the holiday season! What the hell is going on here? If you don't work and play around all the time, you're going to get hurt now! (A grasshopper.)

Drinking and celebrating

Well, today is just a Sunday, but I heard that tomorrow is the usual "Mountain Day".

What in the world is a "Mountain Day"? So, as usual, I asked Wikipedia about it.
-----------------------------------------
Although the purpose of the festival is "to give people the opportunity to become familiar with the mountains and appreciate their bounty," it does not have a clear origin, such as a special mountain-related event.
-----------------------------------------

And when I read the article carefully, it seems that it was established with the intention of making "the day after the closing ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics" a holiday, and the word "mountain" is just a complication.

Then, why don't we just change it to "the day after the closing ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics"? Or "the day after the closing ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics" for short.

Anyway, tomorrow is the first Mountain Day since I found out about it (it was enforced in 2016). The eve of it! Pre-opening and (no)! It's Eve and Eve! The ones on the menu, bring as many as there are from the most expensive ones!

If you don't have bread, you can have cake

Time goes by fast. If time is this raging, it's no wonder it's not easy to regain love and trust once it's lost.

It was a long time ago when we flew around the world from scorching deserts to frozen forests in search of the perfect thickness of strings for drop C tuning. Now I'm completely back to my old ways, cackling and cackling in drop D tuning and playing my guitar.

And then I realized that it was time to change the strings. I found this thing on my desk, which had become an object.

It's been three weeks already since I bought this guy. Time has gone brutally fast. This guy is probably the best choice for drop C tuning, but as I mentioned earlier, the current Ore-sama is "What is a Doro-Pushie? (Nose Hoji)". But the strings are there, so you have to put them up. Like a climber who climbs a mountain because it's there.

After I started to re-split the strings, I was astonished to find out the truth.

The ball end of the first string was not neatly hooked up. This is not in the process of removing it for a string replacement. It had been in this condition for over a month since the last time I put it on.

I can't believe I've been playing it like this for over a month, cackling and singing and gobbling it up! It's too embarrassing! If I had a hole in the ground, I'd do that thing all night long (it's a picnic)!

I was so embarrassed that I took off the strings in a daze and strung the new ones in turn.

Then

Suddenly the new four-string snapped off. No, it came off so irresistibly that the word "snapped" is not appropriate. Maybe it was already broken. This is before I wrapped the strings around the pegs and right after I put the strings through the tailpiece. It was as if it was the natural order of things.

I've used strings in many different states before (like new but bent at right angles), but this is a first. It's a novelty. No, I would call it a revolution. Yes! The battle has been fought out! If you don't have any bread, eat your cake!

I still have one more set to go, but I wonder what's going to happen.

I could have swum the whole ocean

We went through a storm of pods, swam through a sea of casts, and finally did it, yeah.

Rumor after rumor led to rumor, and Kanashibari Radio, which was said to be on the verge of drowning in a sea of rumors, is now available on Google Podcast.

Oh, thank goodness. Now all the starving beastly Kanashibarists of the world can get their daily showers of KanashiBARI Radio to their heart's content. Honestly, I'm so glad! Time to feast, you hungry wolves!

Before we celebrate, "First, let's see that momentous delivery launch with our own eyes! So I opened up the Google Podcasts app, which I had installed on my phone and prepared in advance, and typed in "KANASHIBARI Radio" with the index finger of my trembling right hand.

Hmm?

I can't get out.

Huh? I thought, "That's weird," so I checked the Google Podcast admin page and there's not a single episode that's been distributed. I've got 10 episodes out so far, but not a single one. What do you mean?

Hmmm... I'm not sure about Google Podcasts.

Also, I'm not sure if it's officially called "Google Podcasts" or "Google Podcasts".

I feel like my blood is going to boil in my body today.

DEAD BOYS Pitch

The world is full of "cool" rock albums, and no one would argue that this one is definitely one of those five, right?

This is "Younger, Louder, & Snottier", a rough mix version of the first album "Young Loud And Snotty"...by the well-known New York punk band DEAD BOYS.

Here's the cover for the original version.

The rough-mix version is rougher and cooler! I've often been told that, and I've always thought so too, but now that I've listened to it, I've come to realize that the original version is better, or maybe I just like the original version better, because it has a better balance. But if you're listening to it on a boombox without the bass, the rough mix version is definitely better. The sound quality of the rough mix version is rough at best, and it's a little hollow at worst.

The reason why I've brought up the topic of the DEAD BOYS' first album being so cool is because I've been into changing the pitch of the recorded sound.

Today's technology is amazing (well, it's been around for a long time now), and it's possible to change the pitch of a recorded sound without changing the speed of the sound. Of course the sound quality is degraded, but sometimes it's nice to be able to include that in the mix. I tried turning down the toms on the drums, or the tuning of the strings (I always turn them down).

Then I remembered that in the 70s, when I tried to copy them on the guitar, they didn't seem to be in tune. In those days, it was quite common to speed up the speed of the songs to create a bouncy, tense sound, and as a result the pitch was a little higher.

And I thought that's what happened with this album, and I listened to it again...wasn't that the case...or was it? For example, Sonic Reducer, the first track on the album, is in the key of exactly D. There's nothing weird about it. However, if you watch the video of their live show, this song is in D flat. It's not a problem if you think of it as a "lowered" tuning only for live performances, but I doubt a band like this would do that. I think they took what was recorded in a lowered semitone and turned it up a semitone to give it a sense of speed and tension.

By the way, I went to Amazon to get the image of the album cover, and I was shocked to find that the first album of DEAD BOYS was classified as "Heavy Metal". It's almost as shocking as the fact that "Sonic Youth" was classified as "Heavy Metal", and Amazon likes to classify Western music as "Heavy Metal" anyway, don't they?
