Yesterday, before I ran out of power and collapsed to the ground, I shouted those words, which were filled with the spirit of my words and pushed me to do what I'm doing today.

That's right, today I'm signing up for the SoundCloud "RSS URL" for Kanashibari Radio.

I thought that podcasts were just some kind of app or website where you could register and then listen to them like a radio, but I'm not sure that's the case. Actually, I'm still trying to wrap my head around this.

I understand subscribing RSS feeds to the Apple Podcast, but isn't the Podcast an Apple service? Wasn't it?

But do you offer podcast services on Spotify and elsewhere? Is that different from the Apple Podcast? Do you have to go to each place to listen to the programs that are available at each of them? Where is the undiluted solution of Calpis hidden?

I've never used a podcast as a user, so I don't know what it is. I've never even used Spotify's music streaming as a user, so I don't know what it is at all (Kanashibari's music is also available on Spotify!).

But at any rate, I followed the words I shouted yesterday and sent the RSS feed to Apple Podcast first, and it now states that it's "under review". The Apple Podcast is now reviewing every inch of my RSS feed, which is being reviewed by the Apple Podcast.

I'd love to learn more about podcasting, but I've got to get my ass into the studio and the Canasibari base today (it's 10:30 AM) and I haven't had time to learn more about podcasting. I don't have time to learn about podcasts. I can't believe I'm being rejected after being dressed like a rude asshole! Keys! Qashii! (It hasn't been dropped yet.)

KANASHIBARI Radio

Yesterday, at the very end of the day, I realized my mistake, threw up blood in despair, wept in front of the heavens, wriggled around in the depths of disappointment, and slept soundly for about eight hours, wrapped up in a soft futon.

So here's a continuation of yesterday's story. Yesterday, I found out that if you want to stream podcasts via soundcloud, you need a dedicated account for it. So, I created a new account "on purpose". It's called "Kanashibara".

It's called Kanashibari Radio. If you register the URL of the account's RSS feed, you'll be able to receive podcasts of the music you've uploaded to the site. .

So, I can create both Japanese and English podcasts, but if I upload both to the same account, they both seem to go out on their own.

We didn't want to mix them up, so we decided to keep the English podcast and the Japanese podcast separate, and started with the English one. We decided to start with the English-language podcast, because the quality of the automated voice is much better in English.

It's not enough just to get people to read the blog, but the whole point of the podcast is to get people to listen to the music and know that Kanashibari exists.

That's why we've decided to do this podcast.

As you can hear, the song opens with a radio-like greeting like "Hi guys! Welcome to my program!" and then introduces itself and says "Thank you for listening. Kanashibari. See you!" and a song is played at the end. It's like a radio show, isn't it?

This way, when this podcast distribution is heard, it will lead directly to Canasibari's music being heard....

But there's no way people will listen to a podcast just because you're streaming it. You have to do something to get people to listen to your podcast. I've been using this podcast as a secondary use for my notes, but I've been thinking about that for a while now. It's time to create a system that allows me to keep this up and running as little as possible, and to continue to do so quietly.

As for "1. start this blog in English", I just need to keep going. You just translate and copy and paste this note, so it doesn't take much time (it takes 1-2 minutes), but there are times when I think it's troublesome. The only time I think it's a hassle is when there's a picture in the article. If you don't put the image, you can't ignore it because you can't understand why, but it's unexpectedly troublesome to put the image in the bother. You want to insert an image in the article from the PC, and so on, that is only in the phone. But just like Gwydion, I know that the accumulation of a little "hassle" like that can be fatal to your ability to keep going, and I, like Gwydion (a hero in Celtic mythology), know that. I should think of a way to keep the images in a certain place at all times, or I should think of a way to keep them there.

So, "2. Start distributing automatic audio of this note" and "3. The world is not so easy to live in when it comes to audio, or music, or images, or videos, and it's not as easy as saying "just make it, put it somewhere and someone will find it". That's why I think it's ideal if we can distribute audio in a push-type format, just like radio.

So I looked up "podcasts", and my image of them was "upload an audio file to the podcasts server and ask them to distribute it", but they are more like "a podcaster uploads an audio file to a server somewhere and asks the podcasters to distribute it themselves". So that's what this is all about. As far as I was concerned, it seemed like the quickest way to deliver what I uploaded to SoundCloud, so I uploaded it to SoundCloud first.

Today, I'm going to deliver the audio uploaded to SoundCloud! But when I looked into it again, it seems I need a dedicated Podcasts account on SoundCloud. I had my own personal account on SoundCloud, "Navi Sick," so I thought, "I can just make my Navi Sick account a dedicated podcasts account," but I had a bit of a misunderstanding, and the one I had uploaded yesterday was my Canasibari account. When I realized that, I ran out of steam and I'm currently playing bass in the depths of despair.

Automatic voice in English

I've never made it public, but I'm quite fluent in Japanese (sorry to surprise you), but strangely enough, I'm not yet fluent in English. But strangely enough, I don't have the ability to speak English fluently yet (I guess that kind of ability comes by itself if you just wait with your mouth open, right? (I'm wondering why I haven't gotten it yet.

Yesterday, I wondered if it would be a good idea to transmit this note to the public, so I tried reading it out loud using text-to-speech software, but that was in Japanese.

The other day, I just launched the English blog of this note, and of course I tried to translate it into English as well.

The English version sounds much more fluent than the Japanese version, but I wonder if this is just my imagination? The last time the Japanese auto speech was sweet, it was at the level of "hey, I hope you can understand half of the whole thing...", but this is at the level where you can completely understand the whole thing, right? It's like I'm a native speaker. Of course, as I mentioned at the beginning of this article, I'm not as fluent in English as I am in Japanese, so if you're fluent in English, please tell me how cool this voice is!

So, yesterday I posted the audio to note and pasted it into the article, but this time I'm trying to use SoundCloud (I deleted the audio I posted to note because it was too cluttered). I'll write about the reason for that in the next article.

Automatic Text-to-Speech for Blogs

I love maximizing effectiveness and value. It's not "hearing one and knowing ten", but rather "one makes ten". So I'm always thinking about how I can do one thing and then convert it into something else, or add value with minimal effort.

Yesterday, I wrote about how I made an English blog that translated this note article into English.


I wondered what else I could do with it, and I came up with the idea of converting it into voice.

So, I immediately had yesterday's article read aloud by voice reading software!

Blogging in English

Automated voice mail, just like the future! At first I was excited, but when I thought about it, there are plenty of opportunities to hear that kind of thing in everyday life, and to begin with, VOCALOIDs don't just read out loud, they sing in tune. I myself have not used it for a few years now, but I used to use a VOCALOID called "Megurine Luka".

Well, if you copy and paste the article and click on it, it'll turn into a voice for you, so I'll try it anyway. There's a good chance I can take over the world with it. But posting in notes is different...it has to be in a place where people who would never have contact with me in notes can see (or hear) my work.

Hmmm...where would be interesting for me to put it?

By the way, I used a software called Balabolka this time.

At any rate, this time, I was saddened by the fact that the number of days was read as "not hikaku" and that the tension in my voice always drops drastically before the "surprise" mark.

Blog in English

Before I started this note, I used to write another blog. But I wasn't writing every day like I do now, I was just writing on an irregular basis.

And in that blog, I used to put an English translation of the day's articles underneath the Japanese text. I didn't really intend to do that, I just thought it would be cool to have a mixture of English and Japanese to give a sense of statelessness.

But then I started to get a lot more views from overseas than from Japan. The country with the most page views was the Czech Republic, even though my blog only has 30 articles.

To be honest, I don't really rely on the default access analysis of blogging services. It's strange that there are 4 times as many accesses from the Czech Republic, a country I have no relation with, as there are from Japan, so I wondered if there are many search engine crawlers in the Czech Republic, but I couldn't find any information like that. But I didn't find any information like that. Although the accuracy of the data is questionable, I don't think it's a complete lie, so I think we can get some idea of the trend. That is, aside from the accuracy of the number of accesses itself, I think it's true that "accesses from abroad are higher than accesses from Japan".

So, I thought it's worth checking out, and I've decided to publish an English translation of the contents of this note in my previous blog.

I just translate and copy and paste this NOTE article. I thought about starting a new blog or using Facebook, but it's better to use a blog with a proven track record, so I'm using the same blog, and the URL is the same, but I'm keeping the previous posts private.

Also, I once got a comment from a Brazilian guy who said, "You should do a gig in Brazil, too!

So far, I've copied and pasted 3 days' worth of content. From now on, the English blog will be adding an article a day, and I'm going to add the past ones little by little. It's hard to get search results without a lot of content, so I'll try to keep up with that.

Quiet on the Holidays

Holidays are quiet, aren't they?

I'm not speaking figuratively or in a romanticized way, but rather in terms of "volume" or "dB (decibel)". By the way, "dB (decibel)" is a unit for expressing the intensity of sound.

I've been thinking for a while, but I think holidays are definitely quieter than weekdays. In short, the noise level of the world (or my surroundings) is lower on the days when business and classes are off than on the days when they are not.

It's not that I live in an office district, or next to a school, or in front of a station. I don't live in an office district, next to a school, or in front of a station. There aren't many people around here, whether it's a weekday or a holiday, but the difference in volume between weekdays and weekends is pretty big.

Does this mean that the sound of people's footsteps and conversations on their way to work or school, as well as the sounds of cars passing by on the main street a little farther away, have piled up like a pile of dust, and as a result the noise level on weekdays has risen?

It is said that the level of quietness in daily life is 45dB or less, so it is 35dB on weekends and 45dB on weekdays (although it is quiet on weekdays too). But I can't hear people's footsteps or voices on weekdays or holidays, and I can't hear a car noise either, so the difference in quietness between weekdays and holidays is very strange to me.

The noise level in my room is very high these days, because the tabletop blower I bought the other day makes about 65dB of noise.

Drinking and celebrating

Surprisingly, it seems that we are in the middle of a four-day holiday season. I only found out about 4 consecutive holidays the day before yesterday. I wonder if the number of holidays has increased recently? It seems like there are a lot of "holidays" popping up every so often, but I wonder if it's just my imagination. Is it just my imagination? I'm very happy.

So I looked up the number of public holidays (including substitute holidays) and here's what I found

What a surprise, in the last 70 years, the number of holidays (including substitute holidays) has doubled, ma'am, no, grandma!

Speaking of the contents of the holidays, I was a little daunted when I found out that "Sports Day" became "Sports Day" before I knew it (help me out, grandma!). I feel like all of them sound vaguely familiar to me... No, I don't know what "Mountain Day" is... And what's "Showa Day"?

Pick

I went through quite a bit of picking history before I came across the picks I'm using now. There was a time when I was touring quite a bit with my old band, and back then, whenever I found a music store, I would go in and try out every single pick I could find, which was often laughed at by the band members at the time.

In the end, we came up with this one.

The extremely durable polyacetal picks are printed with a fine particle powder to prevent slipping. This is a great tool for intense picking.

I haven't had an affair since I got this thing. I used to drop my pick a lot during a gig, but since I got these, I don't drop my pick as often as I used to during a gig.

Also, with some picks, the tips of the picks get chipped off, depending on the material they're made of, but there's no such thing. It just comes off more naturally (for me). Until I met this, I often thought, "It's easy to play and hard to drop, but if it's a little bit sharpened, it'll get caught on the string (or the sharpening is much faster than it should be).

The thickness of the pick changes how easy it is to play, but I think you can get used to the thickness to some extent. Of course everyone has their own favorite thickness. But it's not easy to get used to the "ease of dropping" and "shaving", and it's not easy to get used to it.

That's why I'm very reluctant to make an original pick. I feel like the only thing I can make is something that's harder to play than this.

I'm not really driven by the need to make my own picks.

Sanctuary

When I say "sanctuary," yes, I mean "sacred areas. I've heard unbelievable rumors that there are ampontants (mostly male) scattered all over the world, whose brains reflexively convert to "sexual" when they hear the word "holy" - is it true? Let's make a wish

Today is 21 July, and I'm sure there are no people who read this note who don't know what day it is, right?

That's right. It is the day exactly two weeks, or 14 days, after the memorable day when Ultraman Ace fought against the inter-dimensional superhuman Ace Killer on the planet Golgotha and won in Space Q, where the power of the five Ultraman brothers united, even though it was a difficult battle.

So, today, the show "L7 ONAIR - station music TV", in which Kanashibari appeared for the second week in a row, is going to be airing again (I think), and I wonder if Kanashibari will appear again.

Well, I haven't received any prior notice about it (although I was told the date of her first appearance), so I have no idea what's going on, or whether the cross-section of the wrench I bought the other day is hexagonal or heptagonal, and I'm still in a fog of confusion.

Cogwheel

If you recall, I haven't cut my hair in quite a long time. I just checked now that the last time I cut my hair was on February 29th, so I haven't cut my hair for 5 months. Surprise!

The side (side part) was trimmed to 6mm and now it's about 8 inches long. It's long enough for me to grab it with my hands. Quite a few years ago I had a nostalgic feeling that my bangs were getting in my eyes and getting in the way, but now I'm past that level.

Also, the last time I had my hair cut was on 29th February, so of course my hair is now pudding-chan.

I feel like I want to cut my hair, but it's not too much of a distraction, not too long and not too hot, and I don't have the habit of looking at my hair in the mirror so I don't care about my haircut, and I don't care about my haircut because I don't take pictures of my hair, so I haven't cut it after all.

The other day, a friend of mine, who I hadn't seen in a while, said to me, "Wow, it's so fresh not having a perm! I was told when was the last time I had my hair permed? Come to think of it, I think I still had it done for a while when I first started using Canasibari.

I found it when I looked for it. Until this time...right? I had a perm.

hexagonal wrench

Hexagons. As you know, the so-called "beehive" type structure, in which joint regular hexagons are regularly lined up, is called "honeycomb structure" and is famous for its sturdy structure that is used in industry.

Yesterday, I bought a hexagonal wrench for the first time in my life.

There have been many times in my life when I thought "I need a hexagonal wrench", but for some reason I never managed to buy one. I don't remember what I did after I thought "Oh, I need a hexagonal wrench".

However, this time, a necessary event happened, so I bought it at DAISO.

The "event that the hexagonal wrench is absolutely necessary" is the string height adjustment of the bass which I purchased the other day.

When I bought the bass, the string height was too low and it was chattering and chattering all over the place and the strings were sticking to the fingerboard when I pressed the high frets.

I'm not sure what string height is most suitable for the bass, so I'm still trying to figure it out, but I think it's better than before.

So, the hexagonal wrenches I bought this time come off when I took them out of the package as shown in this picture.

Is that the way it is supposed to work? It's true that it's easier to remove it to use. But you can reattach it, but I'm afraid it will come off while I'm carrying it around, and I'm afraid I'll only be able to choke on the high quality food. I don't carry it around though.

Xotic EP Booster

SICK IN RECORDS' used effects department has just received an EP Booster from Xotic.

If you're a guitarist, you've probably heard of that name at least. I'm not so sure. This is a great device that simulates the preamp effect of the famous "Echoplex". By the way, the Echoplex is a big old tape echo, but rather than the echo effect, the Echoplex is an effect pedal that many guitarists used because the preamp part of the Echoplex made the sound thicker just by passing it through.

The EP Booster is the one that reproduces the preamp effect of Echoplex.

It may sound a little weird, but this effect pedal is simply a "just pass it through and it sounds better" effect pedal. It's serious. If you turn the knob to the right, you can make the sound a lot louder (boost), but the key is that you can make the sound better just by threading it through. Of course, I use it too.

The only drawback is that the sound can be too blunt in some cases. It's the same with all instruments, but it's not always good to stand out. There are times when I need to hide in the background and look for an opening, but even then, the sound of this effector stands out in a strange way. Even with this effect pedal turned all the way to the left, the sound gets louder than when it's off, so if you turn it off because the sound is noticeable, the volume gets too low. It's a little difficult to adjust the volume of the sound.

By the way, if you open the back cover of this effect pedal, there is a dip switch inside, and you can adjust the tone in detail. I've heard some people say that they have tried using the EP Booster but it wasn't very good, but I'm sure those people haven't touched the dip switches. By the way, I have both dip switches on.

After writing up to this point, I noticed that "this effect pedal sounds louder with the knobs turned all the way to the left than it does with the dipswitches," which I wrote above, may be because I have both of the dipswitches turned on. I don't know if it's because I've heard that the specifications of the dipswitches change depending on the year they were made.

So, this is a good one, regardless of the genre of music. It's one of the few effects pedals that I can say with certainty that it's one of the best. By the way, it can be driven by both 18V and 9V, but I recommend using 18V by far!

Search the locker room

We arrived at the huge, tasteless store that looked like a huge convenience store, selling everything, and I stripped off my clothes and stripped naked in the changing room at the entrance.

In the changing room at the entrance, I took off my clothes and stripped naked. I'm naked! I noticed. The store wasn't crowded, but there were a few people here and there. I quickly hid behind the shelves and displays and tried to figure out what to do as I moved naked through people's blind spots.

'Ah! Just go back to the changing room where you took your clothes off and get dressed!

I noticed that I was naked and hurried through the shadows to the locker room. But when we arrived at the entrance of the changing room, I thought, "Huh? Not here! I notice. The entrance certainly looks the same as the changing room where I took my clothes off earlier, but my sixth sense tells me that something is different.

'Ah! Come to think of it, there are two changing rooms in this store! The one I took off is the one on the other side of the store!

Then somehow Ore-sama realized that he was completely naked, so he traverse the huge store again, hiding in the shadows, and managed to reach the changing room on the other side of the store, completely naked, and woke up. When I woke up, I wasn't completely naked.

So today, I've broken my Danube like routine again.

As before, in the middle of my morning routine, I couldn't resist the temptation and fell asleep twice and woke up like a sleeping beauty at 10:30 a.m. I'm exhausted from running around inside the huge store naked in my dreams. I'm exhausted from running around naked in the huge shop in my dream. I knew that if I broke my routine, something bad would happen.

After Carnival

You know the word "after-matsuri," don't you? It's pronounced "After the Festival" and means that it's too late to harbor regrets after things are done; that it's no use making a fuss after things are done; that it's too late and you're not ready in time.

I'd call the "after" festival "an after-carnival! I've heard incredible rumors that there are ampontants (mainly old men) scattered all over the world who say things like, "I'm not sure if it's true. After carnival" is "after the festival", not "after the festival". In fact, "carnival" is more of a "carnival" than a "festival", so "after carnival" means "after the carnival".

By the way, I received a file last night. There was a message on the file that said "This is the program that aired on July 14", and when I looked at the file, I found it was a video of a TV program that had a scene of Kanashibari.
